Why choose organic over non-organic?

Acid-Alkaline Ballance

 

Our health revolves around the acid-alkaline state of our bodies. Acidic is negative, when our bodies are sick. When a person has cancer or disease their bodies are acidic. Sickness can only live in an acidic body, not an alkaline one. Alkaline is positive. A healthy body. Our goals everyday should be to have an alkaline body. You can buy strips at the health foods store that will let you know if your body is acidic or alkaline. You just lick the strip and it will turn a color. The darker the strip the more alkaline you are. A regular acid-alkaline pH is 7.0. (I just tested mine after my lemon water and I got 7.0)

How do our bodies become acidic? 

 

The biggest cause of an acidic body is stress and tension, built from negative emotions. So how do we change our emotions from negative to positive? We stop putting things in our bodies that make us negative. Things like alcohol, stimulants, chemicals, sugar, preservatives, drugs, fast food and so on. Now believe me that is easier said then done. It takes a lot of hard work to get there. It took me 6 months to take all of those things out of my diet. I had the support of my husband too. Just start with one thing at a time. It's all about baby steps and when your life's routine is free and clear of all things acidic you will feel like a new person. The storage of toxins is also very acidifying to the body. Death is the final result of a body that is too acidic for too long.

How can we help our bodies become more alkaline?

 

Filling our bodies with raw fruits and vegetables, soaked nuts and seeds is the main way to become more alkaline. Basically the things that God gave us to live off of are the most healthy, and that should be obvious, don't you think? A healthy diet should consist of 80% or more alkaline-forming foods and 20% or less acid-forming foods. The average person eats the opposite of this combination.

 

Acidic foods

 

Foods that need to be eliminated from our diets.

 

In order from bad to worst

- salted nuts

- white vinegar

- white rice (sushi)

- white grains (breads, pastas, cereals, waffles, muffins, anything baked with white flour)

- cooked whole grains

- eggs

- processed dairy (milk, ice cream and cheese)

- white meat (all seafood that are bottom eaters and chicken)

- red meats in large amounts (beef,lamb,pork)

- refined table salt

- hydrogenated oils

- refined sugar, processed sugar and artificial sweeteners

- fried foods

- black tea

- coffee

- soft drinks, carbonated drinks

- alcohol

- tobacco

- preservatives and chemicals

- drugs and all medications (prescription drugs)

 

Alkaline foods

 

Foods that need to be the main part of our diet

 

In order from best to good

- raw fruits and vegetables

- sprouted seeds and grains

- raw vegetable and fruit juices (unpasteurized)

- apple cider vinegar

- chlorophyll

- hemp seed

- chlorella and spirulina

- garlic

- soaked nuts and seeds

- cayenne pepper

- coconut oil

- aloe vera

- bee pollen

- unpasteurized honey and stevia

- dehydrated fruits and vegetables

- herbal teas

- lightly steamed vegetables

- brown rice

- brown rice pasta and bread

- sprouted grain bread

 

Eating Out

 

If you can get to a diet that is mostly alkalizing that is best. Eating out a couple times a month is allowed. Try eating healthier items on the menu, such as a veggie burger with a salad. You might want to spoil yourself and eat something deep fried but it will only leave you feeling sick. After eating out you should never feel nauseous, bloated, or still hungry. If you are still hungry it is because your body is still searching for those vitamins and minerals it is craving. Feeling a bit tired is normal because your body will be at work digesting your food.
