Why we try to eat
more raw than cooked

Why choose organic over non-organic?

Cooked foods are mostly acidic to our bodies. When we are babies we spit out cooked food because it tastes like dead food. It is depleted of its nutrients. Eating a healthy diet must consist of 70% or more raw foods such as fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds because those are alkalizing to the body.

I love to bake but it kills the vitamins in our food. When we bake muffins and cookies we know those are treats and we know they don't have a ton of nutrients. So it is important that we make sure we eat healthy during the day. But we still want our treats to have healthy ingredients. We strictly substitute sugar out of every recipe for either honey or maple syrup.

Mmm Mmm! Fruit is
delicious and nutritious 

My husband doesn't like his fruit cooked, no pies, no apple crumple, no blueberry pancakes, nothing! Which makes me a bit sad because I love me some berry crumble. Baking your fruit on low temperatures in the oven is best. Dehydrating is even better! I love making dried fruit. The kids love it as snacks and it's great to take on the go. To get all of the nutrition out of your fruit try to eat it alone.

Counting Calories?
I don't think so! 

Calories are a measure of heat energy. When eating raw and healthy there is no need to count calories. Raw foods have calories along with the other live factors necessary for their utilization. Cooked foods don't have the live factors anymore. They get destroyed by high heat. Those calories left over get stored in your body, they become toxic waste, becoming what we all dislike - FAT. But when you eat healthy you will notice that you can eat and eat without packing on the pounds. 

We should soak 
our nuts and seeds.

Dry nuts and seeds have enzyme inhibitors. When we eat them our bodies must secrete extra enzymes to neutralize them. Raw nuts and seeds should be soaked in water so the enzymes within them become active and easily digestible. Adding water causes them to start growing, and in this process their nutritional content is increased. 

Eating fruit on it's own
makes for better digestion.

Fruit should be the first thing eaten in the morning and the last thing eaten before lunch. It needs two hours to properly digest and should be eaten alone. When eaten with other foods such as bagels, waffles, or eggs it is always last to digest and then it ferments in our stomachs, which turns toxic. So really all the nutrition is wasted. Ever wonder why you have so much gas and an upset stomach when you mix fruit with bread? That is why. So really it is pointless to eat fruit with other foods. Apples are the only fruit that can be eaten with vegetables.

Scrub fruit and vegetables to remove toxins, sprays, chemicals and dirt, while soaking for 10 minutes in water that has apple cider vinegar added to it. Rinse three times to remove apple cider vinegar completely.

How long does it
take to get healthy again?

Dr. Joel Robbins stated that it takes one year of being healthy for every seven years you did it wrong. Hey now! That's pretty good! At least it's not a year for every year! Some of us don't have that much time left! So for me...I'm 27 and I've been healthy now for 2 years. So I still have another year and a bit for my body to be rid of all the toxins I have stored during my whole life! That's pretty darn exciting. And that will happen before I'm thirty! There is a lot of sickness in my family, just like in everyone elses. There is cancer, heart disease, arthritis, ... all things you don't want to have. We all want a quick fix to our problems. But we have all taken our bodies for granted and now people are paying for it. Our doctors give us prescription drugs that can't fix the cause, it only hides the symptom, meanwhile our bodies are getting sicker and sicker. And what is the cure to all these diseases and sicknesses? Raw food. It takes life to get life. Simple as that. The cure for everything is right in front of our faces. It all came from God. So why are we asking men who call themselves doctors for advice on how to get better? We are taught to believe them because they pay the government the big bucks to tell us that we need them. But we don't! People are dying everyday from prescription drugs and from being in hospitals, eating acidic food and being hooked up to I.V.s, only making us sicker. I hope one day the world changes. But in the mean time when you feel like you have to go to the doctor because you have strep throat or because you have a soar shoulder, take into account that you have a toxic build up and you need to eat healthy for the next 4 years to fix it. It's a long road but it's one that must be taken.

"Wait! What?"

I bet you have never heard anyone say that before! Someone being happy that they are sick. When in all honesty...we should be. Being sick, with a cold, fever or flu, is the bodies way of releasing toxins that have been stored for a long period of time. Ron Garner, who is the amazing author of the book Conscious Health, states that our bodies send us signals when it needs and wants something and we need to listen to them. Like when we get sick - that is a signal. Lets call it stage 1 of sickness. Do not use drugs to hide the symptoms. It will never fix the cause. The cause will only build and build and turn into the next stage. The second signal, or stage 2 I should say, would be if you got bronchitis. The 3rd stage would be chronic disease such as asthma. The 4th stage wold be Arthritis. Arthritis is when a joint is inflamed. It is a degenerative disease that happens to middle age adults and older. It is caused by the build up of toxins stored in the tissues. The tissue area will be weak and will be easy to damage. Overtime the area, especially with fingers, can become deformed*. Now this is a pretty obvious signal that your body needs help. If your body could scream at you I think this would be the time. The next stage after degenerative disease is Stage 5. That would be cancer. Cancer is a result of a disease process that has been in your body for a long time and hasn't been cured. Tumors are caused by the body storing toxins in one place, so the toxins are not free floating in the body, spreading disease to every cell and causing death much sooner. Read CANCER Cause, Cure, and Cover-Up by Ron Gdanski. So when you have a cold or the flu be happy your body is still working at releasing those stored toxins.

*To heal arthritis and all other sicknesses and diseases you must change your routine to a healthy one. You must eliminate all of these from your diet: refined sugar, white flour, white rice, all dairy, coffee, table salt, fast food, packaged meats, soy, prescription drugs, deli meats, alcohol, junk foods and sugary drinks. Pretty much everything that is acidic to the body. Raw vegetable and fruit drinks, juices and smoothies should be consumed 1-3 times per day, avoiding citrus fruits. 

 In our home we never use a microwave, knowing that they kill the nutrients in our food, why would we use one. 

In 1976 Microwaves were banned in Russia because during research they found that they produce cancer causing agents. Microwaves vibrate food at such a high frequency, to heat up the food, that the chemical composition of the food gets rearranged. Our bodies do not recognize this food anymore and it is now toxic to our bodies.

Use natural products
for injuries!

Tea tree oil - For athlete's foot, reach for tea tree oil, an extract of the leaves of an Australian tree. It appears to have antiseptic properties and may work as well as or better than over-the-counter antifungal products. Apply a light coating of the oil to affected areas two to three times a day; continue for a week or two after symptoms disappear. To keep dandruff or lice away, put a couple drops in your shampoo. Use tea tree oil on cuts, burns, scrapes, blisters and all wounds. Tea tree oil is used after surgeries to help heal the injured area.

Boost your immune
system now

Take probiotics to keep yeast infections and urinary tract infections at bay, head for the vitamin aisle (the best ones are refrigerated). Supplementing with "good" bacteria (for example, Lactobacillus or Bifidobacterium) may help restore the balance the of bacteria living in the female genital tract and inhibit the growth of yeast in women with recurrent infections. Foods such as naturally fermented sauerkraut, kimchi, and kefir, as well as yogurt with active cultures, also contain these bacteria.

Make sure you brush your teeth with a fluoride free toothpaste found at your local drug store. Fluoride is very harmful on your body and is banned in many countries. It has the same toxicity level as lead. Fluoride is listed  by the U.S. Agency for Toxic Substances to be among the top 20 substances that pose the most significant threat to human health. Fluoride kills all the good bacteria in the intestines. Fluoride is put in tooth paste because it is said that it prevents tooth decay but the truth is is that fluoride-free tooth paste patients have lower tooth decay records then people who use fluoride tooth paste. 

Go natural and use natural beauty
products to keep your body healthy

Avoid products that can damage or dry out your fingernails, such as formaldehyde-containing polishes and acetone-filled removers. Use coconut oil as skin moisturizers and for sun burns. Use aluminum-free deodorant. Aluminum is put into deodorant to stop you from sweating. It is so toxic to the skin that the pores close up so sweat can't get out. Look for natural ingredients in your shampoos and make up. Green Beaver products are great. They sell shampoo, make up remover and sun screen.

The best ways to quit smoking is to either be a champ and quit cold turkey, or to do this: Start with the number of cigarette you are presently using each day and keep this as the absolute maximum ration for the day; no exceptions! Do this for 21 days. Each three week period thereafter, reduce the ration by one cigarette, until finally you are down to one cigarette for the final three-week period, and then none. Make sure you tell all your friends and your family what your doing so they know you are quitting. Have a plan to not drink for a month after you have quit. Drinking leads to bad decisions and it will always lead you back to smoking.

By adopting this very gradual reduction in the amount of nicotine intake every three weeks, it foods the body into adjusting to a gradual reduction of its addictive requirement. In addition, part of the program calls for taking a teaspoon of cream of tartar powder in a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice (not concentrated or processed) each evening before going to bed. This helps to remove nicotine from the body. Nicotine tends to accumulate around two glands in the brain called the hypothalamus and amygdala, the mix of cream or tartar and orange juice helps to drain nicotine from the glands during sleep. When nicotine is removed from the body, it normally sets up a craving for the nicotine to be replenished. However, since this is done during sleep, the craving goes largely unnoticed, and the body adjusts to the new level. This method has proven to be 90% successful.

  1. Find a high-quality vegetable oil. Most people use cold-pressed sunflower or sesame oils. I prefer using raw coconut oil since it is one of the healthiest oils in the world and helps boost the thyroid.

Over the past week I have been modifying all of our 'old' favourite recipes into healthy ones. My first tip on doing this is to get rid of sugar. Get sugar, brown sugar and icing sugar out of the house! We don't even use organic sugar, or evaportaed cane juice. As soon as I see sugar in a recipe I automaticly think honey or maple syrup. You need to train your brain to think of the healthy options 100% of the time. There is no room in your healthy lifestyle for sugar. Kick the bad habit and start clean today.
