Makes 1 1/2 cups

 

Ingredients

 

  • 10 mushrooms, sliced 4 times per mushroom

  • 1 can coconut milk, full fat

  • 1-2 tsp garlic powder or granules

  • 1/2 onion, diced

  • 1 tsp. coconut oil

  • 1/2 tsp. oregano

  • 1/2 tsp. Mrs.Dash

  • 1 tbsp. potato starch

  • 1 tbsp. tamari

 

What to do

 

Fry onion and coconut oil in a pan on low heat until onion is soft.

 

Add mushrooms and turn up to med/low heat. Put 1/4 coconut milk in a jar with the potato starch and stir until mixed.

 

Add the rest of the coconut milk to the mushroom pan and turn up to med/high heat. Add spices and tamari. Stir. Stir coconut milk and potato starch once more then add to pan.

 

Stir until it comes to a boil. Take off heat, continuing to stir. You will notice the sauce is becoming thick.

 

Let cool off a bit and serve on crackers, rice or pasta.

 

Great for left overs, if there are any!
