Makes 24

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup raw almonds

  • 1/2 cup raw cashews or walnuts

  • 2 tbsp. raw pumpkin seeds

  • 2 tbsp. raw sunflower seeds

  • 1 oz. hemp hearts

  • 2 cups organic gluten-free oats - quick

  • 1/4 cup unpasteurized honey or agave nectar

  • 1/4 cup raw almond butter

  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup

  • 7 dates, pitted

  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips

  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

Topping

  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips

What to do

Soak nuts and seeds in a large bowl over night. Soak dates in a seperate bowl over night.

The next morning, soak oats in a pot of 2 cups of warm water with hemp hearts for 1 hour, until the water is absorbed. Process dates with a small bit of the water until it becomes a thick paste.

Drain and rinse nuts and seeds well. Add to a large bowl. Add all ingredients to the large bowl and stir.

Spread out on two dehydrator sheets into large squares that are 1cm thick.

Dehydrate for 18 hours (ish) on 135 degrees. Flipping half way through.

After they are dehydrated they will still be a bit soft, not hard like a cracker. Cut each square into 12 pieces.

Melt chocolate for topping by adding chocolate chips to thin bowl. Place the bowl in a pot of hot water and stir often to help melt. Place cut bars on parchment paper and drizzle chocolate over bars. ENJOY!

Keep in refridgerator.
