Makes 3 cups

 

Ingredients:

 

  • 1 cup raw hazelnuts. soaked

       previously for 3 hours, rinse well

  • 3 cups filtered water

  • 3 dates

  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg

  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon

 

 

 

What to do:

 

Pit the dates and soak in hot water for 10 minutes.

 

 

Blend all on low speed for 2 minutes. Let sit in the blender to soak for 20 minutes.

 

 

Blend again for 2 minutes on low. Blend on high for 30 seconds.

 

 

Strain milk in a tea strainer or two layers of cheese cloth. Save the hazelnut pulp to make hazelnut cookies.

 

 

Garnish with nutmeg

 

 

Keep in a sealed jar or container and store milk in the fridge. Shake before drinking.
